Introducing the Fujinon GF19-35mm
Fujifilm has released the GF19-35mmT3.5 PZ OIS WR — the second power zoom lens in the GF lineup and the wide companion to the GF32-90mmT3.5 PZ OIS WR, both built for the GFX ETERNA 55 filmmaking camera. It's shipping from late July 2026, and with it the ETERNA system now covers 19-90mm across two matched cine zooms.
The new lens covers 19-35mm — a 15-28mm full-frame equivalent — at a constant T3.5, with 23 elements in 15 groups, four ED and three aspherical elements and a 13-blade iris. Like the GF32-90 it inherits the operability and design of the Premista cinema zooms, keeps optical image stabilisation on board and comes in at roughly 2.1kg. The pair share length, weight, filter diameter and accessories, so swapping between them needs minimal rebalancing or rig changes.
New to our site along with the lenses is the camera they're built around. The GFX ETERNA 55 is Fujifilm's first dedicated filmmaking camera: a 102MP large-format sensor around 1.7 times bigger than full frame, five image scan modes from GF and Premista through to Super35, Apple ProRes recording up to 8K, dual base ISO 800/3200 and a built-in electronic variable ND — with a 2000-nit 5-inch monitor and the PL Mount Adapter G in the box.
The camera's firmware is moving quickly too. Version 1.10 landed in July, and Fujifilm has published the roadmap from here: in-camera MXF playback, app-based settings backup and SDI/HDMI latency improvements are due within 2026, with variable-ND presets, automatic ND adjustment, LANC support and remote control of Duvo-series lenses to follow from January 2027.
