Returns & Warranty

Interim version, effective 1 October 2026. We're updating our policies and will replace this page later this year.

Your rights come first

If you buy goods as a consumer, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 gives you rights this policy can't take away. Goods must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose and match their description. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any right you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that can't lawfully be limited or excluded.

If something is faulty

Contact us as soon as you notice a problem, with your order number and a description of the fault. Please don't send anything back until we've told you where to send it.

  • If the fault can be fixed, we'll repair the item or replace it with an identical one. If we can't reasonably repair it, we'll refund you.
  • If the fault is serious (what the Act calls a failure of a substantial character) or can't be fixed, you can choose a refund, or a replacement of the same type and similar value if we have one available. Or you can keep the item and ask us to compensate you for the drop in its value.
  • You may also be entitled to compensation for other loss caused by the fault that was reasonably foreseeable.

Please bring or send faulty goods back to us. If an item is too large or heavy, or is fixed in place, so it can't be returned without significant cost, tell us and we'll collect it.

If an item needs to go to the manufacturer for repair, we arrange it and we pay the freight to and from the manufacturer.

Manufacturer's warranty

Most products come with a manufacturer's warranty. How long it lasts and what it covers depends on the brand and the product. We handle warranty claims for you with the manufacturer or its local distributor. A manufacturer's warranty is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act, not instead of them.

Our own work

We guarantee our own labour, such as repairs, installation and setup, for three months. Parts fitted during a repair carry the manufacturer's warranty. This is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act for services.

Change of mind

We don't offer refunds or exchanges if you change your mind or choose the wrong item, unless you chose it because of incorrect information from us. Please check specifications and compatibility before you order, and ask us if you're not sure.

Damaged or missing items

Please check your order when it arrives. If anything is damaged or missing, tell us as soon as possible, ideally within 3 working days, so we can claim from the carrier. This doesn't limit your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Storage and recording devices

Please back up any data before you return a hard drive, SSD, memory card or recording device. Testing or repair may erase it.

Trade account customers

If you have a trade account with us, our Terms of Trade also apply to your purchases.
