DS925+ is a 4-bay desktop NAS built around dual NVMe caching and 2.5GbE networking. Four drive bays natively support 3.5" SATA III hard drives as well as 2.5" SATA III hard drives and SSDs, and two M.2 2280 slots add SSD caching on top. A 2.2 GHz AMD Ryzen V1500B quad-core CPU and 4GB of DDR4 ECC RAM drive sequential performance up to 522 MB/s reads and 565 MB/s writes, backed by a hardware encryption engine. Two built-in 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports cover networking, alongside 2 x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports and 1 x USB-C port. The enclosure scales to support up to nine drives in total with an optional expansion unit, and RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, Hybrid, Basic and JBOD are all supported. Running Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM), it's a flexible all-in-one solution for data sharing, synchronisation, backup and surveillance.
