DS1823xs+ brings 8-bay NAS storage to environments with no dedicated server rack or data centre. Eight 3.5"/2.5" SATA drive bays are joined by two M.2 2280 NVMe SSD slots, driven by a 3.35 GHz AMD Ryzen V1780B 4-core CPU and 8GB of DDR4 ECC RAM. Built-in networking covers one 10GbE port plus three 1GbE ports, and a PCIe 3.0 x8/x4 expansion slot accepts a 1/10/25GbE network card or a Fibre Channel expansion card for higher-throughput setups. Two eSATA expansion ports let the enclosure grow by a further 10 drive bays, and three USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports round out local connectivity. RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, F1, Basic and JBOD are all supported. Running Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM), the DS1823xs+ suits central data storage and sharing, endpoint and server backup, VM storage, surveillance management and other business applications for teams without server-room infrastructure.
