Two SFP28 ports on the Twin25G Thunderbolt adapter each push up to 25 Gb/s to compatible fibre devices — around 187.5GB a minute — over a single 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 host connection. SFP28 transceivers ship pre-included for both ports, so there's nothing extra to source before connecting to a 25GbE network, and the adapter runs quietly rather than relying on a noisy fan. A second Thunderbolt 3 port on the adapter passes through 15W of power, letting you daisy-chain storage drives or an 8K monitor without giving up a port on the host computer. Sonnet builds the Twin25G to work across Windows 10/11, macOS 13 or later (including Apple silicon Macs) and Linux, making it a way to add high-speed fibre networking to a postproduction workstation that doesn't have it built in.
