The USB Capture HDMI 4K Plus captures an HDMI 2.0 input up to 4K DCI resolution (4096 x 2160) with embedded audio, over a USB connection to a computer. It's suited to capturing from cameras, game consoles and other HDMI sources direct to Windows, Mac, Linux or Chrome. An HDMI loop-through carries the signal on to a local monitor while it's being captured, and separate 3.5mm audio input and output let you capture external audio alongside the video or extract the embedded HDMI audio. Onboard processing handles resolution scaling and deinterlacing, and RGB 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:4:4 and YCbCr 4:2:2 colour formats are all supported. A status LED reports the input state — idle, signal locked, memory failure or FPGA configuration — at a glance. The USB 3.0 computer interface keeps the connection simple: a single cable to the host machine.
