Built around a 594MHz HDMI receiver with an adaptive HDMI equalizer and support for customised EDID, the Pro Capture HDMI 4K Plus handles a single channel of HDMI video with embedded audio on a low-profile PCIe x4 card. Full colorimetry is supported, with 8-, 10-, and 12-bit colour depths across RGB 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:4:4, and YCbCr 4:2:2 colour sampling, plus up to eight channels of IEC60958/IEC61937 embedded audio and side-by-side-half, top-and-bottom, and frame-packing 3D modes. Alongside the picture, the card extracts a wide set of embedded metadata — AVI, Audio, SPD, MS, VS, ACP, ISRC1, ISRC2, and Gamut InfoFrames — together with audio-formation information, channel-status data, video-timing information, 3D-format information, and Sony and Canon DSLR timecode. On-board processing covers cropping, scaling, de-interlacing, aspect-ratio and colour-format conversion, frame-rate conversion, and video OSD composition.
