The LiveU LU4000 is a 1RU rackmount 4K/Quad HD decoder server that decodes HEVC/H.264 video received over wired Ethernet and distributes it at the studio end, handling higher resolutions than the LU2000. It outputs up to 4K60 video via a single 12G-SDI feed, or up to 1080p60 video across four 3G-SDI feeds, with adjustable output quality and bit rate and dual Gigabit Ethernet ports for input. Beyond SDI, the LU4000 retransmits IP video via LiveU LRT, RTMP, MPEG-TS, LiveU Matrix, SRT and NDI. Designed for studio operation, it works within the LiveU Central cloud platform and can collaborate with LiveU field units such as the LU800 series on the contribution side of the link.
