The Fujinon UA13x4.5BERD is a 4K UHD wide-angle ENG zoom for 2/3" broadcast cameras, built to deliver 4K+ compatible resolution across a 4.5-59mm range with a 13x zoom ratio, for productions where a genuinely wide field of view matters as much as reach.

Wide coverage with a built-in extender

The 13x zoom ratio covers 4.5-59mm, and the built-in 2x extender doubles that range to 9-118mm, adding telephoto reach without a separate accessory to carry or mount. Image distortion is suppressed even at the ultra-wide 4.5mm focal length, and the lens holds high-resolution imaging consistent to the periphery of the frame, not only at the centre — a distinction that matters when framing close to the edge of shot.

Fast aperture and natural bokeh

A fast f/1.8 maximum aperture runs from 4.5 to 41mm and steps to f/2.6 at the 59mm telephoto end, keeping exposure workable across most of the zoom range in lower light. A nine-blade rounded iris produces natural-looking bokeh in out-of-focus highlights, rather than the harsher polygonal shapes of a fewer-bladed iris.

Servo control built for handheld operation

An internal focus design minimises the effects of lens breathing as focus is adjusted, keeping the field of view stable through a rack focus. A handheld-style focus/zoom servo is included for single-operator handling, and the QuickZoom feature zooms into the telephoto end with one push, for a fast focus check before returning to the working focal length.

16-bit encoding for virtual production

16-bit encoders build in compatibility with virtual systems, so the lens's zoom, focus and extender position can be tracked for virtual and augmented production workflows alongside standard ENG shooting, on the same lens used for conventional news and sport coverage.
