With 48 programmable buttons plus 10 assignable macro buttons, the Videohub Smart Control Pro from Blackmagic Design is a hardware control panel for a separate Videohub router, giving an operator direct control over source and destination routing across a network, all from a 1RU frame that suits a large broadcast system or a portable rack for a live production. Source and destination selection runs from push buttons on the front panel, and the panel can be configured as either a Videohub controller or a SMPTE ST 2110 NMOS controller, with current NMOS IS-04 and IS-05 support. RS-422 input and output are built in, reserved for future implementation, and Ethernet with PoE carries remote control over the network on a single cable. The button layout is configured over USB using the included Mac and Windows software.
