The HA5-Plus converts an HDMI input to a 3G-SDI output for an SDI monitor, recorder or other destination, at up to 1080p60; HDCP-protected HDMI content is not supported. Up to eight channels of HDMI embedded audio pass through directly to the SDI output, or independent RCA analogue audio can be embedded instead, with AJA's free MiniConfig software (Mac or PC, via USB) selecting the audio source and channel assignment, reporting input/output formats, controlling all parameters and loading firmware updates. The HDMI input is equalised to support runs up to 98ft on 24 AWG cable, and the 3G-SDI output uses PLL clock filtering for a low-jitter, stable image; it also accepts progressive SD 525p/625p signals. Built in a compact, portable, rugged design, it ships with a universal power supply with international plugs. Unlike the HA5-Fiber, the HA5-Plus outputs 3G-SDI directly rather than over a fibre link.
