The ROI-SDI Scan Converter extracts a Region of Interest from a 3G-SDI input and outputs it, mirrored, to both 3G-SDI and HDMI — useful for rotating, cropping or reframing a source signal, or feeding two display paths from one extraction, in a portable, camera-rig-friendly form factor. Connected by USB to AJA's free Mini-Config application (Mac/PC), it lets you interactively select the Region of Interest and control exactly how it's scaled to the output resolution, with on-screen previews of the source and output formats and simple menu controls for quick changes. A direct 3G-SDI loop-through keeps an external monitor connected while the unit extracts to SDI and HDMI, and a reference input locks the SDI output for production or facility-wide use. Up to 8 channels of embedded audio from the SDI input can be routed and embedded into both outputs via Mini-Config, with a stereo RCA output for simple local monitoring. A 5 to 18 VDC universal power supply with international plug adapters and a locking power connector completes the unit.
