Built around a 5", 1920 x 1080 touchscreen at 2500 cd/m2, the Video Assist 5" 12G HDR adds monitoring and recording to a camera's HDMI or 12G-SDI output. HDR video records and monitors up to DCI 4K, UHD 4K, 2K or HD at 10-bit 4:2:2, with Blackmagic RAW available on select Canon, FUJIFILM, Nikon, Panasonic and SIGMA cameras, alongside up to 16 channels of embedded 24-bit 48 kHz audio. A single high-speed UHS-II SD slot records to SDHC/XC cards, and the USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port doubles as a path to an external drive as well as for configuration and firmware upgrades. Footage is written in industry-standard Apple ProRes (HQ, 422, LT or Proxy) or Avid DNxHD/DNxHR, with on-screen histogram, waveform and vectorscope tools and 3D LUT support for monitoring on set. Dual L-series battery slots and an AC adapter cover power.
