The Video Assist 7" 12G turns almost any camera into a fully monitored recording setup. Its 7", 1920 x 1200 touchscreen runs at 2500 cd/m2, bright enough to frame and focus reliably outdoors, and takes HDMI or 12G-SDI in from professional or consumer cameras. HDR video records and monitors up to DCI 4K, UHD 4K, 2K or HD at 10-bit 4:2:2, with Blackmagic RAW available when working with select Canon, FUJIFILM, Nikon, Panasonic or SIGMA cameras. Two balanced mini-XLR inputs with 48V phantom power capture clean audio, carried through to up to 16 channels of embedded 24-bit 48 kHz sound. Recording is to dual high-speed UHS-II SD slots onto SDHC/XC cards, or via the USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port to an external drive, using industry-standard Apple ProRes (HQ, 422, LT or Proxy) or Avid DNxHD/DNxHR. On-screen histogram, waveform and vectorscope tools sit alongside 3D LUT support for monitoring and grading on set.
