The Supermicro AOC-S3916L-H16iR is a low-profile internal RAID adapter built on a Broadcom SAS 3916 controller with MegaRAID technology. Its two SlimSAS x8 connectors give 16 internal SAS3 ports for SAS and SATA drives, with up to 240 devices when used with an expander. It supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus JBOD mode, with 8GB of DDR4 cache onboard.

Supermicro lists an x8 PCIe Gen 4.0 interface and states the card is compatible with Supermicro motherboards only, with Windows and Linux support. It is configured through a UEFI utility and the LSA Storage Authority WebGUI. The optional BTR-CVPM05 SuperCap unit adds cached data protection.
