The E PZ 18-110mm f/4 G OSS is an APS-C/Super35 E-mount power zoom lens covering moderately wide to narrow angles of view in a compact body suited to lightweight video and cinematography work. A constant f/4 aperture, adjustable through to f/22, holds exposure steady across the zoom range, and one aspherical element plus two ED (extra-low dispersion) elements are built in to control aberrations. Sony's Smooth Motion Optics minimise focus breathing, focus shift and other optical anomalies that would otherwise show up when zooming or focusing during a take. Zoom can be switched between manual and servo control, focus is internal, and Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation is built in. Separate control rings handle focus, zoom and iris, and a removable tripod foot supports the lens independently of the camera body.
