Fanless and bus-powered, the Solo10G SFP+ Thunderbolt 3 adapter draws its power from the host computer and adds a single 10 Gb/s SFP+ fibre port by way of an attached Thunderbolt 3 cable, so there's no separate cable or power supply to carry. It's built in a rugged aluminium shell designed for portability, with Energy-Efficient Ethernet support to help conserve power in use and hardware encryption built in to help prevent tampering with its firmware. A short-range SFP+ transceiver ships with the adapter, so it's ready to connect to a fibre network straight out of the box rather than needing a separately sourced part. Sonnet lists it as compatible with macOS and Windows systems.
