The NTK is a large-diaphragm valve (tube) condenser microphone with a fixed cardioid polar pattern, built for vocal and general instrument recording. Its capsule uses a mylar dual diaphragm sputtered in gold for transparent signal reproduction across a wide frequency range, driven by a hand-selected and graded 6922 twin-triode valve that gives the output an analogue warmth. A custom-built Mu-metal transformer, developed with Jensen Transformers, keeps output quiet and noise-free even at high gain levels. A dedicated NTK power supply is included.
