The Broadcaster is a large-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone built for voice-over use, with an internal pop filter that minimises plosive sounds before they can overload the capsule or distort the output. It has a true full-range response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz with an emphasised proximity effect, plus a selectable high-pass filter at 75 Hz to keep low-end noise — air conditioners, traffic — out of the recording. An 'On-Air' indicator LED lights whenever the microphone has power, and can be wired for external activation from a console's channel on/mute function. The capsule is a gold-plated 1-inch HF2 design.
