At the head of this system sits the OConnor Ultimate 2575D fluid head, rated to hold cameras up to 90 lb — enough for a fully built cine rig on a studio floor or a heavier configuration in the field. It is a support tool for film-style shooting at any scale, from an owner-operator's build to a full crew's studio setup.

Sinusoidal counterbalance

The 2575D uses OConnor's sinusoidal counterbalance system, which delivers true, accurate balance at any point in the tilt range. The camera holds where the operator sets it, rather than drifting forward or back, across the full arc of the tilt.

Pan and tilt fluid drag

Stepless, ultra-smooth pan and tilt fluid drag gives controlled, stable moves for film-style work. Platform controls sit on the operator's side of the head, keeping drag and balance adjustments within easy reach during a take.

Euro-style quick release

A Euro-style quick-release platform accommodates heavy camera rigs, and its large European-style touch and go plate lets you mount and demount the camera quickly. The platform release lever carries a one-touch, finger-actuated safety release catch, so a single finger or hand action undoes the catch and opens the lever. The platform is designed for use with the OConnor 2575D, 120EX, 2560 and 2065 series of fluid heads.

Mitchell top-plate tripod system

The head is supplied as a complete Cine HD tripod system with a Mitchell top plate for the head-to-tripod interface, and a floor spreader to lock the leg spread on a studio floor.
