The LiveU LU900Q is a portable broadcast-streaming encoder for live, in-the-field video transmission, built to hold a stable connection on single-camera contribution work. LiveU IQ (LIQ) — LiveU's AI-powered connectivity technology — continuously analyses network conditions and automatically selects the strongest available cellular operators, optimising cellular bonding performance in real time.

AI-driven cellular bonding

Six internal 5G MIMO modems give the LU900Q its cellular bonding capacity, with LIQ selecting the best-performing operators as conditions change. This helps maintain stable, high-quality live streams in dynamic environments such as large sports events, dense urban locations or remote areas with fluctuating cellular coverage, reducing the risk of transmission interruptions.

Broadcast-grade video and connectivity

The LU900Q encodes in H.265/HEVC and H.264 over 5G cellular, Wi-Fi and wired Ethernet, transmitting UHD 4K60 video with bandwidth up to 100 Mb/s. Camera and network connections run through 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI, HDMI, IP and USB inputs, and the unit supports video return from the studio back to the field.

Field-ready operation

A 5.5" capacitive touchscreen, dual intercom with built-in Bluetooth audio, up to seven hours of battery life with the LiveU ProShell backpack and an SD card slot round out the unit for extended field operation — a set-up that suits a single-operator news crew as much as a larger multi-camera broadcast production.
