The LiveU LU800 is an all-in-one production-level field unit built for multi-camera live news and sports coverage, combining native 5G bonded transmission with production-grade video handling in a single portable unit — a set-up that suits a single-operator crew as much as a larger multi-camera production.

Multi-camera production from one unit

Up to four high-resolution, frame-synced camera feeds run through a single LU800, activated with a PRO2/PRO4 multi-camera licence. Video transmits at up to 4Kp60 10-bit HDR using LiveU's patented HEVC encoding, with bandwidth up to 60 Mbps.

Native 5G bonded connectivity

Up to eight internal 5G/4G dual-SIM modems, built for native 5G with global compatibility across cellular wireless frequencies including sub-6GHz 5G and LTE, bond into up to 14 IP connections. LiveU IQ (LIQ), an optional add-on, optimises that connectivity with AI-driven analysis of network conditions.

Built for the field

The LU800 carries up to 16 audio channels and supports high-speed bonded file transfer, all inside a lightweight, robust aluminium-alloy backpack-style body with soft rubber edges. An optional car cradle, with a quick-connect external roof antenna, mounts the unit inside a vehicle.
