The LiveU Transceiver is a 1U rack-mount encoder and decoder that shares and receives live feeds from within the same device, reducing the need for separate contribution and distribution hardware. Four flexible 3G/HD-SDI interfaces switch between encoding, decoding, or both running at once; the unit ships with two channels enabled, and an additional software licence enables the other two channels, for sharing and receiving up to four video feeds simultaneously, up to four parallel 1080p streams. Feeds move over LiveU Reliable Transport (LRT), and the unit works with LiveU Matrix, LiveU's cloud-based IP video distribution platform, to route contribution and distribution through a single workflow, managed remotely via the LiveU Central platform.
