The Fujinon XK20-120mm T3.5 Cabrio Premier extends the Cabrio Premier range under Fujinon's XK line, widening the wide-to-telephoto zoom options available to a production alongside the ZK-series Cabrio lenses on the same shoot. Its focus, zoom and iris barrels are geared to the industry-standard 0.8 film pitch, providing an interface for a removable ENG-style digital drive unit — the same drive architecture used across every lens in the Cabrio Premier range, regardless of focal length.

The lens holds a constant T3.5 maximum aperture across nine iris blades, with a 31.5mm-diameter image circle behind it.

The same removable ENG-style drive across the Cabrio Premier line

Fitted, the removable drive is an ENG-style handgrip with a zoom rocker switch and 16-bit encoding, controllable via a wired or wireless controller from Fujinon or a compatible third-party manufacturer. A digital auto-aligning system calibrates the drive to the zoom, focus and iris gears on attachment, and power reaches the lens through an external connector or the PL mount's interface.

Sharing lens data with the camera via Arri LDS and /i Technology

Electrical contacts built into the rear PL mount share Arri LDS and Cooke /i Technology lens data with the camera, keeping zoom, focus and iris settings available to the camera system and to any on-set metadata or virtual-production workflow that reads lens data from the mount.

Focus throw, macro function and PL-mount back-focus adjustment

The focus barrel turns through 200 degrees for fine adjustment, with a macro focus function and a back-focus (flange focal distance) adjustment mechanism built into the PL mount — useful for matching flange depth against other PL lenses on the same camera body, whether they are ZK-series or XK-series Cabrio zooms.
