The 12G-CROSS is a standalone 4K HDMI/SDI cross converter, taking either an HDMI or a 12G/3G/HD/SD-SDI input and cross-converting it to the other, with a built-in scaler and frame-rate converter offering 20,007 possible format conversions across 351 input formats and 57 output formats. It supports resolutions from SD up to 4K/UHD (3840 or 4096 x 2160) depending on format, and accepts 294 VESA formats via its HDMI input. Outputs comprise one HDMI 2.0 port and two pairs of 12G/3G/HD/SD-SDI outputs — the four SDI outputs also let the unit double as a 1-to-4 SDI distribution amplifier — plus a dedicated SDI genlock input. No computer or DIP switches are needed: a small LCD screen and four buttons handle all menu functions. It ships with a USB cable and power supply, and its threaded locking power socket guards against accidental disconnection.
