The Hi5-12G is AJA's 12G-SDI to HDMI 2.0 mini-converter, taking a single 12G-SDI input and outputting HDMI 2.0 over one cable for straightforward HDMI monitoring, with a re-clocked SDI loop-out alongside the HDMI output. It handles resolutions up to UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) at 60fps at 18 Gb/s, using Two Sample Interleave (2SI) processing, and supports HDR10 and HLG with HDR metadata generation. A five-colour LED display on the front indicates which input SDI rate is locked. Audio accepts up to 16 channels of SDI-embedded audio on input, with up to eight of those channels passed to the HDMI output, plus two RCA (L/R) analogue audio outputs alongside it. This is the base model in AJA's Hi5-12G range, taking its input directly over SDI rather than fibre.
