The Canon PZ-E2 is a power zoom adapter that adds motorised zoom control to the RF 24-105mm f/2.8L IS USM Z and RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Z lenses. It is driven by a DC motor with a gear reduction mechanism, and a zoom speed dial lets the operator adjust zoom speed finely. A zoom mode switch selects servo zoom or manual zoom, so the lens can still be turned by hand. Zoom time runs from 1.5 to 90 seconds in High-speed Mode and from 3 to 90 seconds in Normal Mode; High-speed Mode is available when the adapter is powered externally through USB-C from a USB power adapter, sold separately.

The PZ-E2 has a USB-C interface only. Canon lists remote operation of the zoom with compatible cameras, and zoom control can be assigned to custom buttons on compatible cameras. Three coin-tightening screws secure it to the lens, and it can be attached or removed while the lens sits on a rig, gimbal or tripod. It measures approximately 105 x 81 x 60 mm and weighs approximately 155 g, adapter only.
