The Canon CR-N350 is a 4K PTZ camera for classrooms, auditoriums, corporate rooms and public-sector venues where the camera is operated remotely. It outputs UHD 4K up to 59.94p, offers HDR gamma options and a 40x Advanced Zoom in Full HD, and connects over 3G-SDI, HDMI, IP and USB-C.
4K60p with HDR options
A 1/2.3-type CMOS sensor and the DIGIC DV7 processor deliver UHD 4K output up to 59.94p in 4:2:2 10-bit over HDMI. Canon lists PQ and HLG HDR formats alongside Canon Log 3 and Wide DR. Effective pixel count is approx. 8.29 megapixels at 23.98, 25 and 29.97 Hz, and approx. 7.88 megapixels at 50 and 59.94 Hz.
Zoom and multiple feeds
The 20x optical zoom (3.67 to 73.4 mm, f/1.8 to 2.8) starts at 29.3 mm wide in 35mm equivalent terms, and Advanced Zoom extends reach to 40x in Full HD. Region of Interest cropping lets one camera produce three feeds up to Full HD, including simultaneous widescreen and vertical streams.
Focus, tracking and loops
Hybrid AF works with face and eye detection and subject tracking. Canon's Auto Tracking App RA-AT001 (Lite) follows a subject automatically and is free; a paid RA-AT001 licence adds functionality. Auto loop, which repeats programmed pan, tilt and zoom movements, needs an additional paid app.
Outputs, protocols and control
3G-SDI carries 4:2:2 10-bit video up to 1080p at 59.94, while HDMI carries the full 4K signal; IP and USB-C (UVC) are also on board, with a 3.5 mm mic input. NDI|HX2, SRT, FreeD, RTP/RTSP, RTMP/RTMPS and Canon's XC protocol cover streaming and control, and the camera can be controlled over LAN, Wi-Fi, serial or IR. Pan covers ±170° and tilt -30° to +100° at 0.1° to 100°/s, with up to 100 presets.
Power and install
Power comes over PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) or from the supplied 12 V DC adaptor; PoE and PoE+ cannot be used. The body weighs approx. 3.0 kg, and the box includes a mounting bracket, safety wires, an AC adapter and a WL-N01 remote control. The white finish suits rooms where the camera should blend into light ceilings or walls.
