Blackmagic Design URSA Cine 12K LF 100G
The URSA Cine 12K LF 100G adds a 100G QSFP28 Ethernet port to the large format 12K camera, sending and receiving SMPTE-2110 live video at high frame rates. Set to SMPTE-2110 Live in the menu it becomes a live studio camera outputting real time IP video up to 2160p60, and with the B4 lens mount for broadcast lenses it can deliver up to 240 fps, so main cameras double as high frame rate cameras for live sport and replay.
The RGBW 35.64 x 23.32mm sensor delivers 16 stops of dynamic range, shooting 12,288 x 8040 in 12K 3:2 open gate at up to 80 fps with 16:9, 17:9, 2.4:1 and 6:5 formats alongside. Blackmagic RAW records to the included 8TB Blackmagic Media Module in constant bitrate 3:1 to 18:1 or constant quality Q0 to Q5, with a PL mount fitted, a lockable EF mount included and built in 2, 4 and 6-stop IR ND filters.
Generation 6 colour science runs the processing pipeline through 3D LUTs for film, extended video and video gamuts, with two 3D LUT processors for different outputs plus a third dedicated to the SMPTE-2110 feed. A built in colour corrector based on DaVinci Resolve's primary corrector works live from the ATEM Camera Control Panel, or from DaVinci Resolve panels with trackballs for separate lift, gamma and gain control.
Alongside the 100G connection there are two 12G-SDI outputs, dual XLR audio inputs with phantom power and Tri-Sync and timecode reference, with PTP v2 timing and NMOS IS-04 and IS-05 discovery for 2110 networks. It pairs with the URSA Cine Studio Viewfinder, a 7 inch 2000 nit touchscreen that connects and powers from the camera's viewfinder USB-C port, for a complete studio camera setup.
