The URSA Cine 12K LF pairs a large format RGBW 35.64 x 23.32mm sensor with 16 stops of dynamic range, shooting 12,288 x 8040 in 12K 3:2 open gate at up to 80 fps. The RGBW architecture carries equal red, green and blue pixels at a 2.9 micron pitch, with 12K 16:9, 17:9, 2.4:1 and 6:5 formats alongside the full open gate and project frame rates from 23.98 to 60 fps.

This model includes the URSA Cine EVF, a 1920 x 1080 OLED viewfinder with a -5 to +5 diopter range and six assignable shortcut keys, joining seven assignable keys on the camera itself. Lens mounts are interchangeable, with a PL mount fitted, a lockable EF mount included and button activated 2, 4 and 6-stop IR ND filters, while a dedicated assist station adds a second 5 inch 1500 nit HDR touchscreen so crew can work both sides of the camera.

Blackmagic RAW records to the included 8TB Blackmagic Media Module in constant bitrate 3:1 to 18:1 or constant quality Q0 to Q5. Connections are industry standard Lemo and Fischer, with two video outputs at SDI rates from 1.5G to 12G, dual XLR audio inputs switchable between mic, line and AES with phantom power, and Tri-Sync and timecode reference. The timecode clock drifts less than one frame every 8 hours.

High speed 10G Ethernet and WiFi handle media upload and syncing to Blackmagic Cloud, with SMB file sharing, FTP and a browser based web media manager for remote access to drives. SRT and RTMP streaming is built in over Ethernet, WiFi or USB-C cellular data, external control runs over a REST API, Bluetooth or the Blackmagic iPad app, and power is +24V DC through an 8-pin Lemo socket.
