The URSA Cine 12K LF EVF pairs Blackmagic's large-format 12K camera with the URSA Cine EVF, adding a dedicated assist station so crew can work both sides of the camera.

A large-format 12K sensor with 16 stops of dynamic range

The large-format RGBW 35.64 x 23.32mm sensor uses equal red, green and blue pixels at a 2.9 micron pitch, delivering 16 stops of dynamic range and shooting 12,288 x 8040 in 12K 3:2 open gate at up to 80 fps. 12K 16:9, 17:9, 2.4:1 and 6:5 formats sit alongside the full open gate, with project frame rates from 23.98 to 60 fps.

The URSA Cine EVF and lens mounts

The included URSA Cine EVF is a 1920 x 1080 OLED viewfinder with a -5 to +5 diopter range and six assignable shortcut keys, joining seven assignable keys on the camera itself. Lens mounts are interchangeable, with a PL mount fitted and a lockable EF mount included, plus button-activated 2, 4 and 6-stop IR ND filters.

Recording and monitoring from both sides of the camera

Blackmagic RAW records to the included 8TB Blackmagic Media Module in constant bitrate 3:1 to 18:1 or constant quality Q0 to Q5. A dedicated assist station adds a second 5-inch, 1500 nit HDR touchscreen, so crew can work both sides of the camera.

Connectivity, streaming and remote control

Two video outputs run SDI rates from 1.5G to 12G, with dual XLR audio inputs switchable between mic, line and AES with phantom power, and Tri-Sync and timecode reference — the timecode clock drifts less than one frame every 8 hours. 10G Ethernet and Wi-Fi handle media upload and syncing to Blackmagic Cloud, with SMB file sharing, FTP and a browser-based web media manager, and SRT and RTMP streaming built in over Ethernet, Wi-Fi or USB-C cellular data. External control runs over a REST API, Bluetooth or the Blackmagic iPad app, with power supplied at +24V DC through an 8-pin Lemo socket.
