Blackmagic Design StudioBridge 100G
The StudioBridge 100G bridges a single 100G Ethernet SMPTE ST 2110 connection into a redundant dual 100G broadcast system. Two 100G QSFP28 network ports are joined by two 100G QSFP28 camera ports, which can be combined provided total bandwidth stays under 100 Gb/s — so two cameras such as the URSA Cine 12K 100G can feed a redundant broadcast network through a single unit.
Each 100G pair carries eight Ultra HD or HD senders and receivers, every stream with 16 channels of embedded audio, in 10-bit 4:2:2 YUV across Rec. 709 and Rec. 2020 colourspaces. Video standards span 720p, 1080i and 1080p HD through 2160p Ultra HD at up to 60fps with automatic detection, and the optional Blackmagic IP10 codec handles 2160p59.94 and 2160p60 as 2110 IP video. Two 10G SFP optical fibre ports connect accessories and a 1G RJ45 port carries NMOS control, configuration and software updates.
Compliance covers SMPTE 2110-20, 2110-21, 2110-30 and 2110-40 plus SMPTE 2022-7 redundancy, which sends identical streams over both networks and rebuilds each frame from whichever packets arrive first, so a failed link never drops a frame. Timing follows PTP v2 (IEEE 1588-2008), control runs NMOS IS-04 discovery and IS-05 connection management, and the full ancillary data stream is carried, including RP 188 timecode, closed captioning and HDR static metadata.
A built-in 2.2 inch LCD and search dial let you scrub between available inputs and check video, audio, standard and timecode from the front panel, with a three button control panel and spin knob for source, destination and menu settings. USB-C handles configuration and firmware updates, and two internal 100-240V AC power supplies on separate IEC C14 inputs complete the redundancy.
