The Mini Converter SDI Distribution is a 1x8 distribution amplifier for SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI signals, automatically detecting the input signal type, re-clocking it, and matching all eight outputs to the input — an affordable way to distribute SDI signals through a facility or truck. It supports the full range of SDI-related transmission features, including embedded audio and ancillary data, plus the 3 Gb/s transmission rate that covers video formats up to 1080p and 2K progressive, and it can also handle ASI signals — asynchronous signals carrying multiple compressed programs at varying transmission speeds. It covers the same distribution role as the newer SDI Distribution 4K Mini Converter, for SD/HD/3G workflows that don't need 6G-SDI or Ultra HD 4K.
