The HyperDeck Studio HD Pro is an updated 1 RU file-based deck, bringing the functionality and control of professional tape decks into a digital design. It adds 6G-SDI support, two extra 2.5-inch SSD slots, a USB Type-C recording output, timecode and reference input and output, a redesigned jog/shuttle wheel, Gigabit Ethernet and a front speaker over previous HyperDeck Studio models. Recording covers ProRes, DNxHD/DNxHR and H.264 files, with the H.264 SDI codec variant running in 10-bit 4:2:2 colour. Two 2.5-inch SSD slots and two SD card slots allow near-continuous recording — when one SSD fills, recording carries on automatically to the other — and the SD card slots are hot-swappable. Connections run to one 6G-SDI input, two 6G-SDI outputs, one HDMI input and output, an SDI loop output and RS-422 control.
