The HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro is a 1 RU file-based video recorder recording H.264 for SD/HD and H.265 for Ultra HD, alongside compressed recording in ProRes or DNxHD, with the SDI codec variants running in 10-bit 4:2:2. One 12G-SDI input feeds two 12G-SDI outputs, alongside a single HDMI input and output, an SDI loop output and a USB Type-C output, giving a broad mix of connection types on one deck. Two 2.5-inch SSD slots sit alongside two SD card slots, giving a choice of recording media, while a 10G Ethernet port, speaker and remote control round out the connections. Front-panel buttons and a jog wheel operate alongside an LCD display, and timecode, reference and RS-422 inputs and outputs support integration into a broadcast control chain, all within a single 1 RU rack space.
