The openGear HDMI to 3G-SDI Scan Converter adds DashBoard remote control to an HDMI-to-video conversion path, taking a computer or HDMI output and converting it to 3G-SDI baseband video for use in an SDI workflow. An HDMI input with loop-through output feeds a 3G-SDI output, up to 1080p/WUXGA on input and 1080p on output. Region of interest (ROI) image scaling, aspect ratio and frame rate conversion, and up, down and cross conversion reframe and rescale the incoming image to fit the SDI format, with tri-level sync support at 1080p/1080i/720p. Two 3-pin terminal blocks provide two-channel balanced analogue audio input, and the HDMI input separately carries up to eight channels of embedded audio, with the selected source embedded into the SDI output. The card fits AJA's OG-X-FR, OG-3-FR and DFR-8321 openGear frames, with control via Ross DashBoard over Ethernet.
