The openGear DVI to 3G-SDI Scan Converter Card adds DashBoard remote control to a DVI-to-video conversion path, taking a computer or DVI output and converting it to 3G-SDI baseband video for use in an SDI workflow. A DVI input with loop-through output accepts up to 1920 x 1200 or 1080p60, converting out to 3G-SDI at up to 1080p60. Region of interest (ROI) image scaling, aspect ratio and frame rate conversion, and up, down and cross conversion let the incoming computer image be reframed and rescaled to fit the target SDI format, with EDID emulation and genlock to a reference input, the DVI input or free run. Audio runs via two 3-pin terminal block connectors, carrying up to 8 channels of embedded audio or 2 channels of de-embedded analogue audio. The 8W, hot-swappable card fits AJA's OG-X-FR, OG-3-FR and DFR-8321 openGear frames, with control via Ross DashBoard over Ethernet.
