The openGear 3G-SDI 8-Channel 24-Bit AES Embedder/Disembedder Card embeds, disembeds or passes through audio on a 3G-SDI video signal, with a single 3G-SDI BNC input and output and automatic detection and configuration to the incoming video standard. Four BNC connectors bring in up to eight channels of AES audio for embedding, sample-rate converted to 48kHz, while a second set of four BNC connectors continuously outputs eight channels of disembedded AES audio. The card can either embed the incoming AES audio into the video signal or pass the video's original embedded audio straight through, and it's hot-swappable, configured via software or DIP switch, taking up two slots in an openGear frame.
