The Hi5-Fiber converts 3G-, HD- and SD-SDI carried over single-mode 1310 nm fibre-optic cable, via an ST-style connector, to HDMI for driving HDMI monitors. It accepts 16 channels of embedded SDI audio, routing a selectable group of up to eight channels through to the HDMI output for a single-cable audio/video connection, with two channels of RCA-style audio output available for separate monitoring. Automatic defaults handle standard use; AJA's Mini-Config software over USB is required to access full controls, including colour space, bit depth and audio selection — in a compact, portable, locking-connector design that can optionally run from battery power via a D-Tap cable. A 3.28' HDMI cable and a universal power supply with international plug connectors are included. Unlike AJA's HDMI 2.0 Hi5 converters, which take a direct SDI connection up to 4K, the Hi5-Fiber's SDI input arrives over fibre supporting 3G-, HD- and SD-SDI.
