The HA5-12G-T adds a single SFP fibre transmitter to AJA's HA5-12G conversion, extending the HDMI signal up to 10 km (approximately 6.2 miles) over LC fibre while still delivering the source as dual 12G-SDI single-link outputs from one HDMI 2.0 input — minimising cable runs across the distribution setup; HDCP-protected HDMI content is not supported for conversion to the unencrypted SDI outputs. It supports video resolutions up to DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) and UHD 4K (3840 x 2160), accepting input up to DCI 4K60, with Two Sample Interleave (2SI) source-mapping so a UHD 4K monitor can view a DCI 4K source; high frame rates of 60/50fps are output for viewing at 60p. It analyses HDR InfoFrame data carried in the HDMI input. Audio accepts up to eight channels of HDMI-embedded audio, embedding it into the 12G-SDI outputs, with two RCA (L/R) analogue audio inputs alongside it. This transmitter model sits between the base HA5-12G and the HA5-12G-T-ST in AJA's HA5-12G range, using an LC fibre connector for its extended reach.
