The AJA 12G-AMA is a 4-channel analogue audio embedder/disembedder mini-converter, supporting 12G-SDI input and output up to UHD 4K60 / DCI 4K60. An SFP slot allows an optional single-mode fibre module to be fitted later, for LC or ST fibre I/O. A 25-pin port takes the included breakout cable, providing four channels of XLR analogue audio input and output, with selectable analogue audio levels. Audio disembedding runs continuously, while embedding is user-selectable on a channel-pair basis — either passing the incoming SDI audio through or embedding analogue audio supplied on the breakout cable. Configuration is via USB and AJA's Mini-Config software, or DIP switches. It's the base model in AJA's 12G-AMA range, ahead of the range's LC- and ST-fibre transmitter, receiver and transceiver variants.
