The Videohub Mini 8x4 12G Router from Blackmagic Design packs eight 12G-SDI inputs, eight 12G-SDI loop outputs and four 12G-SDI outputs on its back panel into an ultracompact footprint built for live production flexibility. It combines SD, HD, UHD 4K and DCI 4K video, with control over the I/O ports available from the front push buttons, the knob, or an Ethernet connection for automated switching. The front panel adds its own 12G-SDI input, which overrides rear input 8 whenever a new source needs routing on the fly, plus a 12G-SDI output that mirrors rear output 4 -- and a USB-C output, separate from the SDI I/O, that registers on a connected computer as a webcam for streaming straight off the router. Dedicated reference I/O ports lock the clean switch function to a Blackburst or Tri-sync signal, so switches land cleanly between frames, and an internal universal AC supply plus a separate 12V DC input with reverse-polarity protection can be used together for power redundancy.
