The Blackmagic Design Media Player 10G supports both video playback and capture. Playback runs through dual 12G-SDI outputs configured as an independent fill and key pair, for keying graphics or a matte into a live production switcher. A dedicated 12G-SDI input handles capture, with a 12G-SDI loop output for passing the incoming signal on to another device downstream. A 10G Ethernet connection links the unit to network storage, while a separate Thunderbolt 3 interface connects to a computer, carrying video and data and able to power a connected laptop. Built on Blackmagic's DeckLink API, it works natively with the wide range of video software already written for Blackmagic's capture and playback hardware — suited to playout and graphics-insertion roles in a live production or broadcast chain, wherever fill/key output and simultaneous capture are needed from a single box.
