The Media Dock Ultra is a rack-mount dock that shares up to three Blackmagic Media Modules — the same modules URSA Cine cameras record to — over the network at very high speed. Each module holds four M.2 flash cards in RAID 0, so edit stations can cut directly from the modules without copying files, and a module can be unplugged and carried away the moment a job ends. Two fully independent 100G QSFP28 Ethernet ports serve edit stations over NFS with up to 200 simultaneous computer connections; one port can take a HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G recording eight cameras at once while the other feeds editing workstations, and DaVinci Resolve can edit the files even while they are still recording. Two SDI outputs and an HDMI output display a live storage map, activity and status at 1080p, and dual internal AC power supplies provide redundancy.
