The Audio Monitor 12G G3 is a 1 RU rack unit built around a dual-subwoofer design with extra-wide-range speakers, driven by Class-D amplifiers for accurate playback at the mix position. The G3 revision adds a SMPTE 2110 input, so the monitor can sit directly on an IP-based broadcast infrastructure alongside its 12G-SDI input. Audio sources can also be fed in via balanced XLR analogue, balanced AES/EBU digital or HiFi inputs, covering both broadcast and studio signal chains. An SDI loop-through output passes video on to the next device in the chain, while an HDMI 2.0 output covers connected displays. On the front panel, multicoloured audio level meters give an at-a-glance read of signal levels, and a built-in LCD lets the operator monitor the video source alongside the audio.
