The V-Mount Plate for Sony Alpha a9 and a7R III connects a V-Mount battery to the camera through a dummy battery on an integrated 16" cable, giving the a9 or a7R III access to a V-Mount battery's larger capacity and longer runtime than its standard battery pack. A built-in voltage regulator delivers the correct voltage to the camera, and two D-Tap ports carry power to additional accessories. The plate is compatible with Wooden Camera's Battery Slides and Rod Clamps for mounting into a wider rig — a way to extend a mirrorless Sony body's runtime whether it's shooting handheld for the day or rigged into a larger camera package.
