This Simple Canon EF Passive Mount Adapter replaces the original lens mount on RED WEAPON, DRAGON, EPIC and SCARLET cameras, letting a Canon EF lens go on the body in place of the camera's native mount. The lens port is passive: no electronic signals pass between camera and lens in either direction, so it suits manual lenses with their own focus and iris control rather than electronically-controlled EF glass. Once the lens port is mounted on the camera, flange focal distance (back focus) is adjusted at the camera rather than the adapter. A lens port cap is included to protect the mount when no lens is fitted. A straightforward way to run manual EF glass on a RED body.
