Machined from aircraft-grade aluminium, this PL Mount opens up professional PL-mount cinema lenses for the RED Epic and Scarlet, and it also fits a Blackmagic Production Camera 4K or an MFT-mount Blackmagic Cinema Camera that has been converted to a RED Epic/Scarlet interchangeable mount system. Four included M4 socket cap screws attach it to the camera, and a recessed area protects the RED data pins underneath. The mount has no electronics of its own, so no lens data passes between the lens and camera in either direction — plan for manual lenses or a separate lens-data solution accordingly. A PL mount cap is included to keep the port covered when no lens is attached. A straightforward, durable way to put PL glass on a RED Epic/Scarlet body or a converted Blackmagic camera.
