The Sony FR7 Cinema Line PTZ Camera brings full-frame, interchangeable-lens cinema imaging to a pan-tilt-zoom body, for broadcast, reality shows, houses of worship, and live events and sports where a fixed or remote camera position is needed alongside cinema-grade imagery.

A full-frame sensor with interchangeable E-mount lenses

The FR7's large, full-frame 4K sensor delivers 15+ stops of dynamic range and captures up to UHD 4K120 video. Built around Sony's E-mount system, it is compatible with Sony's E-mount lens range, though some E-mount lenses are not compatible with pan-and-tilt operation — check Sony's FR7 lens compatibility guidance before pairing long or heavy glass. This lets operators choose glass for shallow depth-of-field bokeh effects as well as long-reach coverage, all from the one PTZ body.

Smooth pan-tilt movement and a variable ND filter

Pan and tilt movement is smooth and slow, suited to on-air camera moves rather than fast utility repositioning, and a variable electronic ND filter adjusts exposure remotely as lighting changes through a service, show or match, without physically swapping filters.

Colour and look matching across Sony's Cinema Line

The FR7 supports S-Cinetone, Cine EI and MLUT looks for matching select Sony cameras, plus live streaming output, so its footage can sit alongside handheld and body Cinema Line cameras on the same production without a mismatched look between angles.

Broadcast-ready outputs and remote control

Video leaves the camera over 12G-SDI, HDMI, or as a live stream, with genlock, timecode and tally lamps built in for multi-camera broadcast setups. The FR7 can be driven by IR remote, over IP, or through a web app, and installs over a single PoE++ cable for combined power and data, suiting fixed or hard-to-reach mounting positions.
