The SF3 Series CFexpress/XQD Pro Card Reader takes dual CFexpress Type B and XQD card slots onto the 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 bus, reading a single CFexpress card at up to 2750 MB/s, two CFexpress cards together at up to around 2600 MB/s, or dual XQD cards at up to 800 MB/s (on current Windows and iPad Pro configurations, only CFexpress is supported; XQD is not available there). One of its two Thunderbolt 3 ports connects to the host system, with the reader powered via a 60W external power adapter; the second daisy-chains up to five additional devices — including further card readers, two 4K displays at 60 Hz or one 5K display at 60 Hz — while still supplying up to 15W to bus-powered Thunderbolt 3 peripherals and accepting 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2 devices. Mac users can also connect over Thunderbolt 2 or Thunderbolt via an adapter and cable. Built in an aluminium, stackable enclosure with a Thunderbolt 3 cable included; compatible with macOS 15 or later on supported Thunderbolt Macs, and with Windows systems fitted with Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4 or USB4.
