The Allegro Pro USB 3.1 PCIe Card with 4 x 10Gb charging ports adds four SuperSpeed USB-A 10 Gb/s ports to a compatible Mac, Windows or Linux computer, or to a Thunderbolt expansion system with a spare PCIe x4 (mechanical) or larger slot. Dual USB 3.2 Gen 2 controllers support data transfers up to 800 MB/s with a single SSD RAID device; with two drives connected each port sustains 660 MB/s, and with all four ports in use each port still carries 300 MB/s. Each port delivers up to 7.5W of bus power to connected SSDs, SSD RAID and hard drive devices, and supports the USB 3.0 charging handshake to simultaneously sync and charge iPads and other compatible devices at 1.5A. Independent power regulation isolates each port from power glitches on the others, and a resettable overcurrent fuse -- cleared by a simple restart -- protects the card and computer.
